Pasta is known as a dry pasta and is usually made from durum wheat, and its nutritional value is determined based on the type of flour from which it is made, and the best pasta is made from whole grains. Almost every country offers a type of pasta, in China it is called (mein), in Japan (udon), Poland (pierogi) and Germany (spaetzle), where the popularity of pasta can be attributed to several factors, as it is easy to manufacture, takes up little space to store, is easy to cook and is rich in complex carbohydrates.

Common pasta shapes:-

1- Long pasta: It is tubular or rod-shaped, straight or twisted, its length ranges between 125-500 mm, and the diameter of the tube shape is between 3-12.5 mm.

2- Pasta with different shapes: including ribbon, spiral, alphabetical, star, snail and others.
